Xiaomi on Wednesday launched its new budget phone Redmi 8 at a starting price of Rs 7,999 for the 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant.
The Redmi 8 features Snapdragon 439 SoC, dual rear camera 12MP + 2MP, 8MP AI assisted selfie camera, 5,000mAh battery with 18W charging support, rear fingerprint sensor, Face Unlock support, and IR blaster.
It has P2i splashproof coating and Gorilla Glass 5. It comes with a 10W charger in the box.
The Redmi 8 is available in Sapphire Blue, Ruby Red, and Onyx Black colours.
The prices are as follows:
Redmi 8 3GB + 32GB – Rs 7,999
Redmi 8 4GB + 64GB – Rs 8,999
To sweeten the deal, Redmi will ship the 4GB variant to everyone till the firs 5 million orders for Rs 7,999 to mark 100 million Xiaomi smartphone sales in India.
The phone will start selling from October 12 at 00.01am via mi.com, Flipkart and Mi Home stores.
