Bhubaneswar: A fresh notification from the Higher Education department on Thursday rescheduled the date for the commencement of regular classes for Plus III first-year students. The classes will begin from August 8, the notification said.
In an earlier notification, the department had announced that the regular classes would commence from August 24.
The new notification, however, said since the semester examination and the CBCS (choice-based credit system) is introduced in the Plus III streams, the courses will not be completed in time if the commencement of the regular classes is delayed.
The department also made it clear that despite the early commencement of regular classes, there will be no change in the admission schedule.
The department has also instructed the authorities of all degree, autonomous and self-financing degree colleges to strictly enforce the dress code for Plus III first-year students from August 24.
