Bhubaneswar: The regular service of Puri-Sonepur Weekly Express will begin from Puri from February 8 and from Sonepur from February 9.
On the inaugural run, the train was flagged off by Hon’ble Prime Minister on 3rd February, 2024.
According to a release of East Coast Railway (ECoR) on Wednesday, 18421 Puri-Sonepur Weekly Express will leave Puri at 1935 hrs (07.35 pm) every Thursday and reach at Sonepur at 0530 hrs on Friday.
In the return direction, 18422 Sonepur-Puri Express will leave Sonepur at 1930 hrs (07.30 pm) every Friday and reach Puri at 0655 hrs on Saturday.
This train will have stoppages at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Naraj Marthapur, Dhenkanal, Talcher, Angul, Boinda, Rairakhol, Sambalpur, Bargarh Road, Balangir, Bichhupali, Jhartarbha and Narasinghgarh between Puri and Sonepur on both directions.
It will have one AC-2 tier, 7 AC-3 tier, one AC-3 tier economy, 6 Sleeper Class, 3 Second Class Seating, One Guard, Luggage-cum-Divyangjan coach and one guard, luggage and motor coach.
