Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Tuesday extended heartfelt greetings for New Year to people of Odisha, invoking the blessings of Lord Jagannath for peace, prosperity, and well-being.
Majhi, however, appealed to the public not to visit his office to convey New Year greetings, emphasising that January 1 is a regular government working day and official work will continue as usual. “Since the first day of the New Ye
ar is a government working day, my office will operate like any regular working day, and government work will proceed as usual. Therefore, I request that no one visit my office to extend New Year greetings or congratulations,” he posted on X.
Majhi also directed government employees to refrain from participating in any greeting or felicitation events during office hours and to prioritise their duties instead.
In the post, the CM also expressed gratitude to the people of Odisha for their unwavering support and trust. “The goodwill of the people of Odisha as well as my well-wishers has always been with me. For that, I am grateful to all.”
Additionally, he politely asked those intending to visit his official residence to refrain from bringing gifts or bouquets, noting that their goodwill and blessings were more than sufficient.
