Khurda: All religious institutions in Khurda district will reopen from January 3.
On the direction of Khurda collector Sanat Kumar Mohanty, instructions have been issued to all the temples and religious institutions in the district to strictly adhere to the COVID-19 guidelines for the devotees.
He, however, said the state government will take a decision on the reopening of the religious temples that come under the jurisdiction of the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC).
It may be noted that the religious places and institutions had remained closed to the devotees due to COVID-19 pandemic and resultant lockdown.
Jagannath Temple in Puri was opened on Wednesday with only families of the sevayats allowed inside the temple.
