New Delhi: The remnant of cyclone NOUL will enter the northeast Bay Of Bengal on Saturday night or Sunday morning, turning into a depression.
This system will subsume a pre-existing cyclonic circulation over northwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining coastal Odisha.
This depression is likely to trigger a week-long (September 20-26) rains in Odisha, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra in a staggered manner.
Vice President of Meteorology and Climate Change at Skymet, Mahesh Pahlawat took to Twitter to inform about the same.
The peripherals of the system may also drag the rains to Telangana, Uttar Pradesh and some parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Delhi NCR.
At present, Cyclone NOUL is centred in South China Sea.
