Bhubaneswar: Odia cine star Mahasweta Ray joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) at party’s state headquarters here on Monday.
Welcoming Ray to the party, Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan expressed hope that her joining would definitely strengthen the party’s base, particularly ahead of the Bijepur bypoll.
Expressing her happiness after being inducted to the saffron party, the actress said, “I have been inspired by Prime Minister Modiji. I am happy to get a chance to work for the welfare of people, particularly those in the grassroots.“
