Bhubaneswar: As part of its process to reopen major temples, the state government on Thursday announced the schedule for consultation with Nijogs of Jagannath temple in Puri and important stake-holders.
As per the 6-day schedule, the consultations on virtual mode will continue from October 9 to 16. The meetings will be coordinated by Administrator (Niti), Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) on first four days.
The Nijog representatives and senior sevayats will be invited to present their views and suggestions at the meetings to be held on October 9, 12, 13 and 14.
On October 15 and 16, the consultation will be coordinated by Administrator (Development), SJTA. The decision on invitees will be taken in consultation with district collector and SP.
Earlier, chief secretary Asit Kumar Tripathy in a tweet directed the chief administrator of the SJTA and other major temples under endowment to prepare an action plan for devotees to visit shrines with strict adherence to COVID-19 guidelines.
