Puri: The Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has convened a meeting of the Chhattisha Nijog (apex body of servitors) on December 12 on the reopening of the temple for the devotees.
According to the Shree Jagannath Temple Office, the meeting scheduled at 12 noon will be presided over by the SJTA chief administrator, Krishan Kumar, at Niladri Bhakta Nivas here.
In a letter, the temple administration has requested all Sevayat Nijog (servitor bodies), and the sevayats of the Niti (rituals) sub-committee to participate in the meeting.
Apart from the reopening of the temple, the meeting will also discuss about the ‘Pahili Bhog Maasa’ (traditional morning offering to the Trinity which continues from the Dhanu Sankranti to Makara Sankranti as per the Odia almanac) from December 15 to January 13, Makar Sankranti puja and rituals on January 14 and the rituals for Debabhishek Purnima on January 28.
