Bhubaneswar: The Election Commission of India (ECI) on Tuesday ordered repolling in nine booths in Odisha on April 25.
Polling in these booths was disrupted due to malfunctioning of electronic voting machines during the second-phase polls on April 18.
The nine booths where repolling would be held are booth no-129 at Uparpada Kendrikela UG UP School under Bonai constituency and booth no-213 at Rangadhipa UP School under Sundargarh constituency in Sundargarh Lok Sabha constituency; booth no-210 at Bahadajhola and booth no-222 at Betanati under Daspalla constituency in Kandhamal Lok Sabha constituency; booth no-235, at Areigudi under Attabira Assembly constituency, booth no-68 at Shakti Nagar Primary School under Bargarh Assembly constituency, booth no-16 at Dava under Padampur Assembly constituency and booth no-254 at Brajarajnagar under Brajarajnagar Assembly constituency in Bargarh Lok Sabha constituency and booth no-182 at Renti under Sorada Assembly constituency in Aska Lok Sabha constituency.
The directive of the Commission came in response to the recommendation made by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) in this regard.
