Malkangiri: Fire Services personnel on Saturday resumed their search operation for the three persons who were feared drowned after a boat capsized in Saberi river in Malkangiri district on Friday afternoon.
Sources said two of the missing, Mallika and Dine, are sisters. They are the daughters of one Raja Kabasi of Kumbharaguda village in Materu panchayat area of Padia block. The third unidentified youth was also from the same village.
They were returning to their village in a country boat, when the boatman lost control midstream and the boat capsized, the sources said.
Fire Services personnel went to the spot in the evening and began a search operation. But they had to abandon the search at night.
