Bhubaneswar: A number of top notch researchers and scientists including world renowned Industry 4.0 expert Prof Jay Lee, University of Cincinnati Professor, USA, will take part in the deliberations at the four-day International Conference on the ‘Role of Industrial Engineering in Industry 4.0 Paradigm’ to be held at the SOA (Deemed to be University) here from September 27 to 30.
The conference is being organised by the Indian Institution of Industrial Engineering (IIIE), Odisha chapter, in collaboration with SOA and will be held alongside the Diamond Jubilee National Convention of the IIIE, Mumbai.
A host of experts drawn from academia, research organisations and industry from across the globe are expected to attend the conference, informed IIIE president, Odisha chapter, Prof R. P. Mohanty.
Former president of the Republic of Mauritius, Rajkeswur Purryag will inaugurate the conference while the Ambassador of Israel in India Daniel Carman will be the chief guest at the valedictory programme. A diamond jubilee postal envelope will be released on the occasion by Odisha’s Chief Post Master General Dr S.K. Kamila.
Prof Lee is Ohio eminent scholar, LW Scott Alter Chair Professor and is the founding director of National Science Foundation (NSF) and University Cooperative Research Center (UCRC) on Intelligent Maintenance Systems. He will be the principal keynote speaker at the conference.
His current research focusses on predictive big data analytics and cyber physical systems for intelligent maintenance, prognostics and health management (PHM) and Industry 4.0 systems.
