Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has effected a reshuffle in the Forest Department, reassigning several Divisional Forest Officers (DFOs) and senior officers of the Odisha Forest Service (OFS) across various divisions in the state.
According to the notification issued by Forest, Environment and Climate Change (FE&CC) Department, Biswaraj Panda, who was serving as DFO of Bhubaneswar City Forest Division, has been transferred and posted as DFO of Sonepur Forest Division. Aditya Narayan Sethi, RCCF of Berhampur Circle, has been appointed as the new DFO of the City Forest Division, Bhubaneswar.
In other key changes, former Rourkela Forest Division DFO Jashabanta Sethi has been posted as DFO of B
onai Forest Division. Pravakar Senapati has been appointed as DFO of Phulbani (KL) Division. Ajay Kumar Sahoo, previously Divisional Manager of OFDC Rairkhol Division, has been transferred as DFO of Karanjia Forest Division, while Subhendu Kumar Behera takes charge as DFO of Balangir (KL) Division.
Arun Kumar Biswal, who was serving as Silviculturist at Rayagada, has been posted as DFO of Bhadrak Wildlife Division. K V Bhaskar Rao will replace him as the new Silviculturist at Rayagada.
The department has also made several senior-level reassignments to strengthen administrative roles.
Pratap Behera has been posted as Deputy Conservator of Forests (Dy. CF) in the FE&CC Department. Sasmita Lenka has been appointed as Divisional Manager of Odisha Forest Development Corporation (OFDC) Ltd. Jitendra Behera and Prafulla Kumar Mallick have been transferred and posted as Deputy CFs in the office of the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests (PCCF) and Head of Forest Force (HoFF), Odisha.
Additionally, Kandan Singh has been transferred and posted as Divisional Manager of Jeypore (CKL) Division.
