Residency Camp To Groom Five Select Art Students

Bhubaneswar: To nurture promising and needy artists, city-based Ila Panda Centre for Arts (IPCA) enrolled five students selected from different art colleges of the state for its year-long art residency camp on Saturday.

The centre will bear the food and lodging expenses of the students till completion of IPCA Boot Camp 2018.

“Arrangements have been made to provide them a comfortable stay, so that they can fully concentrate on their art work. Senior artists will also mentor them while experts from other fields will groom their personality on the whole,” said Tareni Prasad Dhalsamnata of IPCA.

The training period, which will focus on holistic development of the students, will prepare them for MFA (Master in Fine Arts) in Delhi University and other reputed institutions, he added.

Chairperson of IPCA Managing Committee, Panchami Manoo Ukil, said IPCA’s mandate of supporting and promoting emerging artists and art from the state is being translated into reality through the residency camp.
