Berhampur: The authorities of Berhampur University (BU) here have barred two teachers from all examination-related works following allegations of molesting girl students on the campus.
BU registrar Prasanna Swain issued letters to the two teachers – Sadananda Nayak of the Odia department and assistant professor of the English department T Eswar Rao – and other concerned authorities on the matter on Monday.
The restraining order has been passed against Nayak for three years. Rao has been barred from all examination-related works until further orders.
Notably, two students had barged into the quarters of Nayak and thrashed him in July for allegedly molesting a girl student of the Odia department. Following a complaint by Nayak and a counter-complaint by the girl, police arrested the two students along with the teacher.
Similarly, a video clip of Rao allegedly alluring a girl to stay with him for a night had gone viral in July.
The committees formed by vice-chancellor Geetanjali Dash to inquire into incidents found Nayak and Rao guilty, sources said.
