Balasore: A head-on collision between a car and a tanker on NH 16 near Sambit Jyoti petrol pump under Simulia police limits in Odisha’s Balasore district claimed the life of a retired scientist of the Indian Air Force (IAF).
He deceased have been identified as Sarat Chandra Mishra of Chandbali.
His nephew Sujit Kumar Pani, who was travelling with him in the car, sustained grievous injuries and was rushed to the Government Hospital at Simulia. He was later shifted to the district headquarters hospital at Bhadrak, sources said.
