Cuttack: Madan Mohanty, a retired mathematics teacher, died on Sunday while undergoing treatment at a private hospital following an accident.
According to sources, a truck hit the motorcycle which the 86-year-old
was riding pillion while he was returning to Cuttack from his village. He was then admitted to the ICU at the private hospital, where he breathe his last.
Mohanty had joined Stewart School, Cuttack, in 1963. Known for his mathematics skills , he was sent to the Board of Secondary Education on deputation as an expert.
