Bhubaneswar: Vigilance sleuths on Wednesday apprehended Revenue Inspector (RI) of Sindhrimalo circle caught in Odisha Malkangiri district while allegedely accepting Rs 25,000 bribe.
According to official release, RI Simanchal Sahu had demanded illegal gratification from the complainant for demarcation of her land acquired by the government for the airstrip in Malkangiri. She had recently received compensation for it.
The release further said that the entire bribe money was seized from the RI and simultaneous searches are going on at two locations linked to him to ascertain if he had accumulated assets disproportionate to his know sources of income.
