Mumbai: Bollywood actor Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde on Monday said that they were not in a hurry to file a bail plea in the Bombay High Court.
After the special court rejected their bail plea last Friday, the lawyer had reportedly said that they would be approaching the High Court for bail.
However, according to a Times Of India report, Maneshinde did a U-turn on Monday and that his clients, Rhea and her brother Showik, were not in a rush to apply for bail.
“Even if we get a copy of the order today, we are not in a hurry and moving immediately… we will study the order, it’s implications and developments in the case at the NCB level and then decide. There’s no room for speculation… once it is filed we will share a copy of the bail application,” said the lawyer.
Currently, Rhea and Showik are in judicial custody after being arrested by the NCB for their involvement in a drug nexus.
Rhea is the prime suspect in Sushant Singh Rajput death case.
