Mumbai: ‘Bigg Boss’ is all set to return with a new season, and anticipation is building over the celebrities who will enter the reality show’s much-awaited house.
Adding an interesting twist to the excitement, host Salman Khan has given viewers a ‘vardaan’ — the power to choose between Rhiya Ahir and Love Gill.
The contestant who receives the highest number of votes will secure a spot in the ‘Bigg Boss’ house, ensuring that one of the two becomes an official contestant.
A new promo for Bigg Boss 20 brings back the popular ‘Fans Ka Faisla’ concept, which was introduced in the previous season.
In ‘Bigg Boss 19’, viewers had to choose between content creator Mridul Tiwari and Shehbaz Badesha.
Mridul emerged as the winner of the fan vote and entered the house during the grand premiere. Shehbaz, however, later joined the show as a wildcard contestant in the third week.
This year, fans once again have the power to decide who enters the house, with Rhiya and Love competing for the coveted spot.
Viewers can vote for their favourite contestant through the JioHotstar app, with the winner officially joining the ‘Bigg Boss 20’ house.
Rhiya is a 27-year-old model who shot to prominence after getting involved in a protest in Mumbai. She reportedly intervened after witnessing protesters being detained by the police.
She later went viral on social media after a video showed her standing with her arms outstretched in front of a police van during an agitation by the Cockroach Janta Party over the alleged NEET paper leak.
With over 324K followers on Instagram, Ahir has built a strong social media presence and has also featured in several music videos. Her latest appearance was in the song ‘Dilbara’.
Apart from modelling, Ahir is also an entrepreneur. She is the founder of Rhiyasat, a luxury handcrafted apparel label that collaborates with Indian artisans and promotes locally crafted fashion.
Love, meanwhile, is a Punjabi model and actor best known for her role in the television show ‘Tu Patang Main Dor’.
She has also appeared in several Punjabi films, including ‘Haterz’, ‘Shakkar Paare’, ‘Vekhi Ja Chhedi Na’, ‘Furlow’ and ‘Hanji Kaun?’, among others. Gill also enjoys a strong social media following, with around 600K followers on Instagram.

Meanwhile, several other celebrities have been rumoured to be participating in ‘Bigg Boss 20’, including Nia Sharma, Arjun Bijlani, Karan Patel and Jannat Zubair.
The trailer for the upcoming season also introduced a new concept called ‘Extra Jeevan Daan’, presented by Salman Khan, hinting that contestants could receive an additional chance to stay in the game.
Salman said, “The game in Bigg Boss changes every year. This time, it’s not just the game that’s changing, but the way it is played as well. ‘Jeevan Daan’ isn’t as straightforward as it sounds. As for the rest—well, you’ll find out once inside the house.”
‘Bigg Boss 20’ is set to premiere on September 6, with the new season streaming on JioHotstar and airing on Colors.
