Bargarh: A rickshaw puller was found dead at Danga village under town police in Bargarh district on Friday.
The deceased has been identified as Kanhu Meher (26) of the same village.
Being informed about the matter, a police team comprising SDPO Suresh Nayak along with scientific experts and dog squad reached the spot and started the investigation. They later seized the body for post-mortem.
A complaint was lodged at the local police station by Kanhu’s family alleging that he was murdered.
The youth was attacked with a sharp weapon. He has injury marks on his face. It seems unlikely that the person was murdered for profit since he belonged to a poor family. However, the case is yet to be cracked, a police officer informed.
The locals suspect that the youth was killed either over a love affair or previous enmity.
