Ring Road Project For Bhubaneswar & Cuttack To Take Off Soon

Bhubaneswar: The work of the proposed capital region ring road project for the twin cities is set to take off soon.

Reviewing the project at a meeting here on Friday, secretary, Public Works department Dr Krishan Kumar said the detailed project report (DPR) submitted by the National Highways Authorities of India (NHAI) is under active consideration of the state government.

He further said after the DPR gets the government approval, the land acquisition process will begin.

The project, mooted in the Road Congress 2015, proposes a bypass on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack. It will go through Rameswar near Khurda and Govindpur under Cuttack PWD division.
