Bhubaneswar: Day and night temperature will see a steady rise in most parts of Odisha from next week, the India Meteorological Department (IMD), said on Monday.
Talking to mediapersons, weather scientist of Meteorological Centre, Bhubaneswar, Sudarshan Mishra, said barring Jharsuguda, night temperature in most parts of Odisha had recorded 10 degree Celsius and above on Monday.
“Though the night temperature will have a marginal fall due to the rain, it will remain a little above the normal temperature in the coastal Odisha. However, the day and night temperature in all parts of the state will witness a steady rise after February 16 onwards,” Mishra added.
He said the weather will remain dry for the next four days till February 15 as there is no significant synoptic system over Odisha. However, there will be light to moderate rain or thunder shower at one or two places over interior Odisha while thunder storm accompanied with lightning and hail is likely to occur at one or two places over the district of Sundargarh, Jharsuguda and Sambalpur on February 16.
