Bhubaneswar: The Lingaraj Temple Administration has finalized a revised schedule of rituals due to solar eclipse on June 21.
The temple administration announced the schedule for two days on June 20 and 21 after a discussion with servitor Nijogs on Thursday.
As per the new schedule, the rituals of the deities will be performed in phases. On June 20, no rituals will be performed after the Sandhya Dhupa (evening Aarati) at 10.38 pm.
On June 21, the deity will take the ‘Paraga Snan’ (eclipse related bath) in the Bindusagar tank at 12 pm. Thereafter, ‘Parag Bhoga’ (eclipse prasad) rituals will be carried out in the temple.
The ‘Maha Snan’ (grand bath) of the deity will be performed at nine minutes past 2 pm followed by ‘Mangala Aarati’ and ‘Abakash Niti’ along with other rituals.
