Bhubaneswar: Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw will take stock of arrangements of trains for Rath Yatra in Odisha’s Puri on Monday.
During his three-day visit to the state from Monday, Vaishnaw will inspect Puri railway station and review the arrangements made for devotees who will come from different parts of the country to participate in the Rath Yatra scheduled to be held on Tuesday.
The Indian Railways will run more than 200 special trains for the devotees during the 9-day Rath Yatra in Puri. Besides, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has made special facilities for the convenience of devotees at Puri railway station.
Vaishnaw will also participate in the Rath Yatra on Tuesdy and then proceed to Bahanaga Bazar where the horrific triple tragedy on June 2 claimed around 29o lives.
The Union Minister will also visit the Balasore district headquarters hospital (DHH) and meet the doctors and officials of the district administration.
