RMRC-Bhubaneswar Head Sanghamitra Pati Ranked 2nd-Most Influential Researcher From India

Bhubaneswar: Director of Regional Medical Research Centre (RMRC), Bhubaneswar, Dr Sanghamitra Pati has been ranked as the second-most influential researcher from India by Elsevier Digital Commons Data.

She is first in ICMR to achieve the ranking under the general and internal medicine category (Public Health).

The selection has been made from among the Top 2 percentile researcher across the world.

Last year, Dr Sanghamitra had won the Odisha Bigyan Academy’s Samanta Chandra Sekhar Award for the year 2018.

A doctor by profession, Pati is an expert on multimorbidity research in public health settings. The burden of multimorbidity in primary care, psychiatric multimorbidity, patient-physician perspectives on the burden of multimorbidity, mapping of multimorbidity in medical education, and interprofessional education related to multimorbidity have been her areas of research.

The RMRC led by Pati played a major role in COVID-19 testing in Odisha.
