Berhampur: The staff of Railway Mail Service (RMS) here on Saturday locked the office main door from outside after one of the multi-tasking staff (MTS) tested positive for coronavirus.
According to sources, the staff of the morning shift, who came to know about the corona positive case, did not enter the office fearing contamination and locked it. They demanded immediate sanitization of the entire office.
“We have requested the RMS Superintendent and the Ganjam Collector to take immediate steps. We would not open the door till the office is sanitized,” one of the employees said.
About 60 employees work in three shifts in the RMS office situated near the Brahmapur railway station.
