Mumbai: Two thieves broke into Anupam Kher’s office and took away an entire safe from the accounts department, the Bollywood actor revealed in a post on X.
Negatives of a film produced by Kher’s company were in the safe along with other valuables, he added.
Sharing a video on X, the veteran actor stated that it was recorded by office staff before the police arrived at the scene. He also wished the robbers ‘wisdom’.
“Last night in my Veera Desai Road office two thieves broke two doors of my office and stole the entire safe from accounts department (which they probably couldn’t break) and the negatives of a film produced by our company which were in a box. Our office has filed an FIR. And the police has assured that the thieves will be caught very soon. Because in the CCTV camera both of them can be seen sitting in an auto with the goods. May God give them wisdom. This video was made by my office people before the police came! @MumbaiPolice @CPMumbaiPolice,” Kher wrote.
The two thieves were reportedly seen in CCTV footage boarding an autorickshaw with the stolen items.
Amboli Police registered a case against unknown persons and an investigation is underway.
