Bhubaneswar: Unidentified miscreants looted several valuable articles and cash from the residence of a senior railway official in Bhubaneswar.
The incident came to light after the official of the East Coast Railways (EcoR) lodged a complaint at Maitri Vihar Police Station in the state capital in connection with the burglary.
As per the complaint, the robbers looted cash, gold ornaments, jewellery and other costly gifts from his house. The theft occurred when nobody was present in the house.
It is suspected that the robbers gained entry into the house by breaking the locks.
Senior police officials along with scientific team visited the site and launched an investigation into the incident.
The CCTV footages in the locality are also being examined for clues regarding the miscreants.
