Sonepur: Armed miscreants attacked four members of the family of Bahalpadar sarpanch during a robbery bid in Sonepur district late on Tuesday.
The injured were admitted to Birmaharajpur sub-divisional hospital and later shifted to Burla hospital for better treatment.
According to police sources, 10 armed robbers entered the sarpanch’s house around 1.30 am. They opened fire following scuffle with the family members, leaving four of them injured. The robbers later managed to flee the spot with two cellphones.
Police have lodged an FIR and launched a manhunt to nab the miscreants.
