Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has decided to introduce robotics education programme in schools across the state to inculcate scientific temper among the students.
This was informed by school and mass education secretary Pradipta Mohapatra on Tuesday.
“In the first phase, the education programme will be introduced in 10 model schools of the state where advanced science and robotic laboratories will be set up. The move aims to keep the students up-to-date with the latest technologies in the world of architectural intelligence. This will also help students develop their skills on robotics and artificial intelligence from an early age,” Mohapatra said.
The students will also be imparted training on drone technology. Discussions have already been initiated with a Bengaluru-based agency for this purpose, he added.
