Kolkata: Five people, including a child, were injured while watching ‘Pathaan’ on Thursday when the roof of the cinema hall collapsed.
The tragedy occurred at Kandi, in West Bengal’s Murshidabad district this afternoon.
The afternoon show of the Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone-starrer was sold out at Galaxy Theatres.
As they enjoyed the spy adventure, a part of the roof suddenly collapsed and blocks of hard concrete fell on the audience around 2 pm.
Locals rushed to rescue the viewers and helped shift them to the sub-divisional hospital.
Two people were reported to be critically injured.
