Rotary International President Mark Daniel Maloney has inaugurated 40 bio-toilets for women spread over 10 slums across Bhubaneswar. The toilets have been set up under a $30,000 global grant project.
The bio-toilets will benefit about 5000 beneficiaries and will be operated by Mahila Mandals, said a release.
The project partners are Rotary Club of Bhubaneswar, New Horizon, Rotary E Club, Bhubaneswar, RC Hills Kellyville and RC Caloundra of Australia, RID 3262, Rotary Foundation and Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation.
