Rourkela: Rourkela Government Hospital’s (RGH) general OPD will remain closed for three days from Monday.
The decision was taken after a few healthcare workers of the hospital tested COVID-19 positive.
RGH authorities said on Sunday that the OPD of the hospital will remain closed to contain the spread of coronavirus. A large number of hospital staff have been quarantined as a safety measure.
Besides closing the OPD visits, the hospital also postponed all non-essential elective surgeries for the time being. Emergency OPD rooms 1 and 4 and the Flu Clinic will remain operational.
As many as 10 healthcare givers have tested positive for COVID-19 from July 4 to July 9.
