Rourkela Municipal Corporation Announces Winners Of Swachh Survekshan 2021 Competitions

Rourkela: The Rourkela Municipal Corporation (RMC) declared the results of online competitions organised to mark Swachh Survekhsan 2021. The awards were presented to 26 winners in different categories by Rourkela MLA Sarada Prasad Nayak in the presence of  RMC Commissioner Dibyajyoti Parida.

The winners are:

Best Jingle: Subhashree Das bagged the first prize in the category while the second and third prizes went to Pallav Chatterjee and Ashutosh Ray.

Short Film: The first prize was presented to Soumyaranjan Gochhayat while Abhay Kumar Nayak was second and the third prize went to Lohitya Patnaik and Jiban Jyoti Behera.

Best Painting: Bandita Sahoo bagged the first prize in the category. There were joint winners for the second spot  – they are Tanuja Sammadar and Upasana Nayak. The third prize went to Ritika Jena and Baishnabi Kissan.

Best Poster: Premanshu Pritam Behera bagged the first prize while Eshan Mishra was second and Raveena Rajendra Yadav bagged the third prize.

Heroes of Rourkela:

Arati Choudhury, Anita Nayak, Sailabala Sarangi, Sunil Kumar Mahanti, Abhijit Sahu, Alok Jena, Amiya Das, Jyoti Tripathi, Pramod Kumar Dalei, Swagatika Mahanti and  Subhendu Panda were presented awards in this category.

The participants had to send their nominations online before November 15. The competition was organised with an aim to educate every section of the society about Swachhata and COVID-19. Rourkela had done well in the nationwide competition last year, but is aiming to perform better at the national level this time.
