Rourkela Plane Crash Survivor Returns Home, Recalls Terrifying Experience

Rourkela: Another passenger injured in the Rourkela plane crash has returned home after weeks of medical care. Anita Sahu, who had sustained serious head injuries in the accident, was discharged on Friday from a private hospital in Rourkela.

Anita had been undergoing treatment since the day of the crash on January 10 and her recovery marks a significant step forward for the victims of the tragic incident.

Speaking to reporters after her discharge, Anita admitted that memories of the crash still haunt her. She said she witnessed the acciden

t from very close range but cannot recall the entire sequence of events due to the trauma. One of the few moments she remembers vividly is seeing the pilot fall from his seat after the aircraft went down. Beyond that, her recollection fades, underscoring the shock and disorientation she experienced during the crash.

The plane crash had left several passengers injured and sparked widespread concern about aviation safety in the region. While one of the critically injured died while undergoing treatment in hospital, survivors like Anita have been slowly recovering, with doctors emphasising the severity of the injuries sustained.

Anita’s family expressed relief at her return home, thanking medical staff for their dedicated care. Neighbours and well-wishers gathered to welcome her back, offering support as she continues her recovery journey. She was greeted with bouquets to celebrate her healing journey after surviving a traumatic plane crash.
