Rourkela: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha’s Sundargarh district touched 2,961 on Saturday with the second-highest single-day spike of 156 positive cases.
According to the district administration, 106 new cases were detected in Rourkela and the rest in different areas of the district.
Of the new cases in the Steel City, one more patient was reported from the NIT campus, taking the total to 11.
According to the district administration, two cases at NIT-Rourkela were confirmed on July 31, another seven on August 6 and one on August 9.
