Rourkela: The COVID-19 tally in Odisha’s Sundargarh district touched 1992 with an overnight addition of 110 new cases.
Among them, 73 were detected during active surveillance. While 33 are contacts of previous patients, two are Corona Warriors and one with travel history. The remaining one is an asymptomatic cases with no travel history.
Majority of these cases have been detected in Rourkela. Seventeen more inmates of Rourkela Special Jail have also tested positive for the virus, taking the total to 23.

With 16 deaths and 1258 recoveries, the district now has 715 active cases.
