Rourkela: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly gang-raped near Harpali slum in Rourkela, police said on Tuesday.
Sources said the incident took place on July 8, but it only came to light on Monday when the victim’s family lodged a complaint at Biramitrapur police station. The family did so after a video of the rape showing eight to 10 miscreants went viral on social media.
Police have started an investigation and launched a manhunt for the perpetrators.
