Shimla: A Royal Bengal tiger was reportedly spotted in Paonta Sahib in Himachal Pradesh. This has alerted forest authorities in the state and Uttarakhand, reported NDTV. Officials are not ruling out the possibility that the animal was the one that went missing from the Rajaji National Park about a year ago.
The tiger’s movement was captured by a trap camera. It was installed on a tree in the Khara block of the forest range, forest officials said on Thursday.
The clips show a tiger’s presence in the area. The pugmarks and claw marks on trees near the camera trap suggest the animal had been frequenting the area, the officials claimed.
