Pune: Retro motorbike maker Royal Enfield has finally added anti-lock brakes (ABS) to its popular Classic 350 model. The new motorbike is named Classic Signals 350 ABS and is dedicated to the Indian Army Corps of Signals that handles military communication of the Indian Army and Air Force.
It has been launched at Rs 1.62 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune), which makes it around Rs 15,000 more than the non-ABS variant.
The Classic Signals 350 ABS will be available in blue and brown matte colour. It will have brown-coloured seats. The accessories list includes saddle bags, crash guards, windscreens and more. To enhance the retro-military appeal, Royal Enfield has painted unique serial numbers on the tank and has a black muffler, rims, engine, handlebar, etc. The tank has a metal gold and green RE badge.
There are no changes mechanically. It retains the same 346cc single-cylinder engine that produces 19.8hp and 28Nm of peak torque and is mated to a 5-speed gearbox. The rear brake is a disc and the ABS is dual channel.
The Royal Enfield Classic Signals ABS can be booked at RE dealerships.
