With this win, Rajasthan Royals jumped to fifth spot with 12 points, behind KKR and KXIP.
The hosts scored 168 for six as Evin Lewis had smashed a 42-ball 60 before Hardik Pandya produced a quick-fire 36.
In the other match, Chennai Super Kings defeated Sunrisers Hyderabad by eight wickets. A century by Ambati Rayadu helped Chennai chase a strong total of 180 runs.
Both SRH and CSK are currently perched at the first and second spot respectively on the points table.
For CSK, Shardul Thakur (2/32), Deepak Chahar (1/16) and Dwayne Bravo (1/39) took the wickets, while Shikhar Dhawan (79) and skipper Kane Williamson (51) were the top scorers for SRH.
