Bhawanipatna: Vigilance sleuths seized Rs 1.10 lakh in cash from the vehicle of Kalahandi Civil Supply officer (CSO), Siba Shankar Dora.
The officials flagged down the vehicle near his rented house at Bhawanipatna on Wednesday. The CSO was in vehicle.
Vigilance DSP, Kalahandi, Satyaban Mahanand said that they had received an input that the CSO had collected Rs 5 lakh from some millers and was heading towards the house. During search, the officials recovered Rs 1.10 lakh.
The DSP said the CSO had no answer for the source of the money seized.
Simultaneously, the Koraput vigilance sleuths raided his house at Nabarangpur, he added.
