Berhampur: Miscreants allegedly targeted an ATM kiosk of a bank and decamped with over Rs 10 lakh cash in Odisha’s Ganjam district.
Sources said unidentified burglars broke open the ATM of the State Bank of India located at Pratapur Chhak under the jurisdiction of Purusottampur police station in the district late on Thursday night.
Some local residents spotted the broken ATM this morning and informed the local police.
On being informed, a team from Purusottampur police station rushed to the spot and l;aunched an investigation into the incident.
While the exact amount of looted is yet to be ascertained, the ATM was stated to have cash to the tune of over Rs 10 lakh.
