Bhubaneswar: A lookout circular has been issued against Deepak Kindo, an accused in Rs 100 crore loan fraud case.
The Economic Offences Wing (EOW) of Odisha Crime Branch had earlier arrested his wife Amrita Kindo, MD of Diya Dairy Agro Processor Pvt Limited, on the basis of a complaint about Rs 5 crore loan availed through forged documents, from Annapurna Finance Pvt Ltd in 2020 and misappropriation of the same.
Deepak Kindo is the MD of Sambandh Finserve Pvt Ltd, which had availed the loan and Diya Diary is the sister concern of the company.
He had approached the company for the loan for carrying on financial activities effectively by giving loans to different SHG and Joint Liability Groups.
The investigation further revealed that Sambandh Finserve Pvt Ltd had raised funds more than Rs 100 crore in a similar manner between 2015-2020 from different investors/ lenders like DCB Bank, SIDBI (Small Industries Development Bank of India), BOPA PTE Ltd. (a Singapore-based Company) and DIA Vikash Capital Pvt Ltd and misappropriated the same by diverting the amounts to their sister concerns.
Between 2017 and 2020, an amount of Rs 22.72 crore of the loan availed was diverted to the accounts of Diya Dairy And Agro Processor Pvt Ltd and misappropriated.
The official release said Deepak Kindo is absconding and evading police arrest.
“Besides, it is also requested that anyone giving credible information leading to the arrest of the accused will be suitably rewarded. The information can be given on the Mobile number 9437444870. The name/details of the informer will be kept secret,” it added.
Amrita Kindo is currently in judicial custody.
