Bhubaneswar: The state government has set a target to collect a revenue of Rs 220 crore from different municipal corporations, Chief Secretary Aditya Prasad Padhi informed.
Chairing a crucial meeting of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Rourkela and Berhampur municipal corporations at the state secretariat here on Tuesday, the Chief Secretary asked the officials concerned to lay more emphasis on revenue collection through holding tax collection.
An amount of Rs 132 crore was collected through various taxes by different municipal corporations last year, Padhi added.
Tax collected by the municipal corporations were reviewed in the meeting.
