Rs 4 lakh solatium for Kolab drowning victims’ families

Bhubaneswar: Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday announced a
compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the family members of four children
who got drowned in Kolab dam at Lamptaput of Koraput district.

The children identified as Sushant Bhoi (2), Laxmi Bhoi (9), Sabita
Majhi (8) and Sanjay Bhoi (9) of Parajakuduli village under
Kumaragandhara panchayat in the district slipped into the
water body while playing near it on Monday.

While the body of one of these children was found the same day, others
were recovered on Tuesday morning.
