Bhubaneswar: Ornaments worth Rs 5 lakh were looted from a lawyer’s house at Unit-VI in the city.
According to sources, some unidentified miscreants had looted the ornaments and important documents from the house of Sukant Sahu when he along with his family had gone to a relative’s place to celebrate Diwali on Sunday.
The theft only came to light when the family returned home on Monday morning. They found the house locked from inside and the window broken.
Sahu has lodged a complaint at Capital police station. Following this, police along with a forensic team reached the spot and started an investigation.
