Rourkela: Unidentified miscreants allegedly looted Rs 6.5 lakh at knife point from a contracting firm staffer at Civil Township here on Friday.
The incident took place when the victim was returning home on a two wheeler after withdrawing the money from a bank.
At least five bike-borne miscreants thrashed him and took away the cash from him.
On being informed, police reached the spot and got him admitted to a hospital.
Investigation into the matter is on.
