Rs 6587 Cr Outstanding With Odisha Power Distribution Companies: Deputy CM Informs Assembly

Bhubaneswar: More than Rs 6,000 dues are pending before the four electricity distribution companies of Odisha, the state Assembly was informed on Wednesday.

This information was shared by Deputy Chief Minister K V Singh Deo while replying to a question by Satyabadi MLA Om Prakash Mishra in the House.

Singh Deo, who holds the Energy portfolio, stated that outstanding with the four power distribution companies amounts to a total of Rs 6,587 crore.

Of the total outstanding, an amount of Rs 2,651 is pending with CESU, while the dues with NESCO stood at Rs 958 crore. Similarly, the total outstanding with WESCO is Rs 1,676 crore and that with SOUTHCO is Rs 1,300 crore, the Deputy CM said.
